It’s with great pleasure that we premiere our ‘Field to Fuller’s’ journey, documented by our Northern Irish distribution partners, Get Er Brewed.
In this mini-documentary, we share the complete journey of French & Jupps handcrafted roasted malt, culminating in the delivery of our Chocolate Malt to our friends at Fuller’s historic Griffin Brewery. This relationship between French & Jupps and Fuller’s dates back to at least 1870, as they continue to use French & Jupps Chocolate Malt in their flagship London Pride to “provide great depth of colour and consistency.”
Along the journey, we stop at our locally grown barley fields to talk to our farming partner, Ben Pledger, the agronomist at North Herts Farmers, who nurtures our grain throughout the year. We visit our historic maltings to meet our maltsters and explore our full malting process and history. Additionally, we take a whistle-stop tour of our local town of Ware, steeped in malting history, to sample some fine independent beers at our local taproom, The Hop Box, sharing how our barley takes its journey full circle across the brewing spectrum.
Whether you’re a homebrewer, beer lover, or just curious about how your pint starts in the soil, this one’s for you. So sit back, grab a beer, and watch the ‘From Field to Fuller’s’ journey here. Cheers!
