This Beer Day Britain (June 15th), Vocation Brewery and French & Jupps are thrilled to unveil a collaboration which showcases the very best of British brewing: Rooted Riches, a 10% ABV British Stout.

Born from a partnership between French & Jupps, the roasted malt specialists, and Vocation Brewery, Hebden Bridge who brew bold beers which set benchmarks rather than follow trends, this beer is a masterclass in flavour, heritage, and craftsmanship.

For trade partners, publicans, and bottle shop owners, Rooted Riches represents a celebration of excellence and premium raw materials.

At French & Jupps, we’ve spent centuries perfecting our craft, producing 14 distinct crystal and ‘patent’ roasted malts. For this beer, Vocation’s brewing team utilised Extra Dark Crystal and Chocolate Malt to build the base for an unapologetically robust Stout.

Because modern consumers are increasingly seeking beers with authentic provenance and rich storytelling, Rooted Riches delivers a premium, high ABV offering, showcasing exactly what happens when premium British malting ingredients meet world class independent brewing.

The Tasting Notes | Classic Roots, With A Modern Twist

While the base of the beer is rooted in British roasted malt, the profile is modern, decadent, and complex.

• The Mouthfeel: Lusciously smooth, thick, and velvety.

• The Palate: Enveloped in layers of rich, roasted sweetness. The Extra Dark Crystal provides a perfect balance of soft, jammy plum and dried fruit flavours, complemented by notes of smoky espresso coffee and chocolate from French & Jupps Chocolate Malt.

• The Hops: Vocation has selected traditional Bramling Cross hops to provide a gentle lift of blackcurrant, subtle spice, and a fleeting hint of liquorice on the finish.

Supported by the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA), the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA), and the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), Beer Day Britain is a national annual event acknowledging the science, art, and craft to which brewers and ingredient suppliers have dedicated themselves for generations.
