French & Jupps at BeerX 2026: Experience Speciality Roasted Malts at Stand 73
We are thrilled to announce that French & Jupps, the roasted malt specialists, will be exhibiting at BeerX 2026, the UK’s biggest beer and brewing event.
by French & Jupps
The range of roasted French & Jupps malts was distributed by the Brewers Supply Group, BSGCraft, or RahrBSG (as they are now known) to the American and US markets, was then branded under the William Crisp name.
While William Crisp himself has roots in the Crisp family, who have been involved in the malting industry for generations, William Crisp malts are not to be confused with Crisp Malt, which has been supplying British malt to the brewing and distilling industry since 1870.
This modern history, compared to that of French & Jupps, Great Britain’s oldest maltster, have their roots as West Sussex as farmers and maltsters which stretch back to 1689. Family-run and malting since 1810 the French & Jupps story is one of true provenance and family partnership, combined with centuries of expertise in handcrafting malts, with barley sourced from local farmland surrounding the maltings in Stanstead Abbotts village.
The William Crisp by French & Jupps product range included traditional specialty malts crafted by French & Jupps with great care and time-honored techniques to help brew beers of exceptional quality. Adding soul to beer for centuries, the range encompasses everything from delicate pale crystal, a lighter malt with a subtle sweetness and a touch of caramel flavor, to deeply roasted malts, giving brewers limitless options for the finest flavor profiles and colors, including Brown Malt, a darker malt with a rich, toasted flavor and a hint of chocolate, and Roasted Malts, a variety of deeply roasted malts that add complexity and color to beers.
In 2024, the partnership between French & Jupps, the Brewers Supply Group/BSGCraft/RahrBSG, and the William Crisp Malt name has come to an end. However, the handcrafted malts by French & Jupps, with deep-rooted history in malting dating back to the 1600s, continue to be made. We are proud to announce that the same range, to the same specifications, ASBC color ratings, and certification recognized by the Maltsters Association of Great Britain, The Craft Maltsters Guild, and Brewing Association, is now available exclusively through TBI Pro Brew Supply nationwide in the USA.
Whether you’re a homebrewer or a commercial brewer, French & Jupps Malt offers a range of products to help you create exceptional beers proudly available exclusively through TBI Pro Brew Supply nationwide.
