Corn Balance

Circa 1600

This is a 19th Century Corn Balance (Chrondometer) dating to 1826 made by Bryant Corocon Ltd and Co. It is used to measure the grade & density of grain & farina once impurities have been removed. Although the original wood striker has been replaced with a small plastic scale, all other parts are original.
