Discretionary Bonus Plan, Pension Plan, Heathcare (WPA), lunch provided. Starting on 20-days holiday (excluding bank holidays) increasing up to 25-days. Days between Christmas and New Year are gifted to employees.
French and Jupps operates a Maltings Production Plant, producing high quality roasted malts for brewing and food industries.
Working with one other experienced Engineer plus an Apprentice, the role requires the Engineer to maintain the production facility to a high standard; focusing on preventative maintenance programmes, attending to breakdowns and optimising the production plant.
The Engineer will be required to learn key production roles and have the ability to provide production cover as required. Occasional overtime working, either planned or on call out, may be required.
Experience of working within the food manufacturing sector would be an advantage.
Good communication skills, with the ability to work alone and within a team.
Ability to work under pressure and to a tight schedule.
Additional skills we will be looking for include leadership, interpersonal, critical reasoning, be highly creative and innovative and be enthusiastic.
Skilled at working with all workshop related tools with experience in cutting, forming, joining, taping, threading and welding.
Experience in heavy engineering tasks to include managing planned/preventative maintenance programmes, bearing and gearbox replacements.
The candidate will ideally have completed a recognised apprenticeship and/or Diploma/HND programme and to have a minimum of 5-years work experience.
Ability to commute to The Maltings in Stanstead Abbotts (SG12 8HG).
